ParaParaParadise.net was developing by a group of Hong Kong people who wish to share the happiness of ParaPara Dance.

In the autumn of year 2000, a ParaPara dancing game, ParaParaParadise was launched. The number of paralists (ParaPara dancers) was then increased from a dozen to over three hundred in a few months. At that moment, almost all paralists in Hong Kong join the meeting held in the Hong Kong Cultural Center Piazza every week.

By year 2001, ParaPara meetings were interrupted every time by the reason of no authorization of occupying the piazza. Regardless the question of prohibiting "cultural" activities in "cultural" center, we began to seek various suitable locations to keep on holding the meetings. These locations included shopping malls, discos and outdoor area of TV station etc. Among the same time, Hong Kong ParaPara Dance Association was founded. In one hand she was helping promotion of ParaPara to the third party, in the other hand she was driving the meeting more smoothly.

Since then, Hong Kong paralists are proud to dance in public area like cultural center without interruption - with the cost of premium booking fee and the public insurance that we were requested to purchase. Financial problem became the one in our first priority that we need to be solved. As a result, we could not hold large scale meetings as usual as before. We hope to see Hong Kong Government could provide a suitable location for this kind of healthy cultural activities.

Although we were facing hard in the past few years, we are still trying our best in promoting ParaPara dance in varies channels. By the power of internet, the soul of ParaPara was spreading over the world. Most of the original ParaPara routines were originally from Japan. Some of these routines were from video tapes, VCD or DVD, and some were from ParaPara discos. Unfortunately, due to geographical problem, overseas people would be hard to find the source of these routines. This would be the primary reason that ParaParaParadise.net was being developed and being launched on the day of third anniversary since the first ParaPara meeting was held in Hong Kong.

We hope everyone like ParaPara can learn a new routine without seeking hard. We hope everyone like to learn ParaPara can find an entrance. And we hope everyone playing ParaPara will keep on playing it and introduce it to more and more people. In short, we hope everyone can share the happiness from ParaPara dance.
